ART Corner H는 ​

경성시대부터 문화예술의 중심지였던 명치정(명동)과 본정(충무로) 그리고 상업의 중심지였던 종로를 잇는 교차점인 동시에 서양 문물이 가장 빨리 유입 및 전파되는 장소인 을지로 중심부에 위치한다. 혜민서 터에 지어진 역사적 건물을 증축 및 리모델링해 세워진 복합문화공간으로, 예술가들이 다양한 활동을 펼칠 수 있는 장을 마련하고, 기존에 국내에서 접하기 어려웠던 생소한 국가들의 예술세계를 소개하며 문화예술 저변확대에 힘쓰고 있다. 신진작가와 중견작가, 국내작가와 해외작가 등을 하나의 주제로 소개하며 ‘연결’과 ‘교차’를 키워드로 삼아 자체 기획 전시와 외부 협력 프로젝트를 기반으로 ‘허브 hub’와 같은 역할을 하는 예술 공간으로 성장하고자 한다.

ART Corner H is located in the center of Euljiro. It is situated at the intersection connecting Myeongchijeong (Myeongdong) and Bonjeong (Chungmuro), which have been the centers of culture and art since the Gyeongseong period, and Jongno, which was the center of commerce.

It is a complex cultural space and historical building which was remodeled and built on the site of Hyeminseo, providing a venue for artists to engage in various activities and introducing the art world of unfamiliar countries previously difficult to access from Korea. Additionally, it works to expand the base of culture and arts by introducing not only Korean artists but also foreign artists. Under a single theme, we hope to become an art space that acts as a hub based on self-planned exhibitions and external collaborative projects, using "connection' and 'intersection' as keywords.

 

ART Corner Hは、京城時代から文化芸術の中心地だった明治亭（明洞）と本政（忠武路）、そして商業の中心地だった鍾路を結ぶ交差点であり、なおかつ西洋文化が最も早く流入・伝播する場所である乙支路の中心部に位置する。 恵民書跡に建てられた歴史的建造物を増築・改造し構築された複合文化空間にて、芸術家たちが多様な活動を繰り広げることができる場を設け、それまで韓国ではなかなか縁遠く感じられていた国々の芸術文化を紹介し、その裾野を広げる活動に尽力してきた。気鋭のアーティストと中堅のアーティスト、韓国のアーティストと海外のアーティストを一つのテーマで紹介する等、「連結」と「交差」をキーワードとして自ら企画展示や外部プロジェクトへの協力等を基軸に「ハブ」のような役割を担う アートスペースへと成長していきたい。

* 예술공간 아트코너H의 수익금은 청년 예술가와 예술에 관심있는 자립준비청년을 돕는 햇빛담요재단 활동에 사용됩니다.
